• give children and youth the opportunity to experience the PROCESS of being creative and imaginative.
• help create community by collaborating with children and youth in school and neighborhood settings and by supporting celebration of the children's work.
• empower children and youth to discover and explore their own voice and abilities through the medium.
• empower children and youth with the media, techniques and knowledge to express an idea, theme or concept.

AWE Projects

• help children and youth understand that art is an integral part of the human experience.
• give children and youth the chance to experience the pleasure and joy of creating.
• focus on the children and youth and their artistic ideas and expressions. AWE encourages schools and communities to value the artwork of children and youth by respecting the artistic integrity of the work.
