MPS Arts Internship Program

AWE Truck Studio Intern (3 positions available): Do you have artistic talents and energy you’d like to
share with children in your community? Are you interested in joining a creative team of like-minded artists?
Ideal candidates have an interest in working with children and young people, like being outside, and enjoy
sharing their energy, enthusiasm, and ideas with their community. Consider applying to AWE’s Truck Studio
internship program! This is an hourly, part-time position approximately 20 hours per week from June 18-
August 3, 2018. Hours are generally 11:45-3:15pm Mon-Fri with additional paid team meetings, trainings and
daily journaling.

AWE Office Intern (1 position available): Are you looking to develop your administration and organizational skills? Do you like working in a creative environment where you can show your leadership? Consider joining the AWE summer program staff and help us with our programming behind the scenes! Must have strong computer skills- good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is essential. Interest in marketing and data evaluation is a plus. The Office Intern will gain valuable real-world office administration experience while getting to work in a flexible and creative environment and will be supported by a team of artists. This is an hourly, part-time position approximately 14 hours per week, during the eight week period from June 18-August 9, 2018 with a few additional team meetings and trainings. Work hours are generally in the afternoons 12-3pm Mondays-Thursdays.

AWE Artist-in-Residence Intern (1 position available): Do you have artistic talents and energy you would
like to share with youth in the community. Are you interested in the process of public art and working
alongside professional artists? Apply for the AWE Artist-in-Residence internship program. This position will
be hourly, part-time, June 18 – August 10, 2018.

Step 5: Tell us about yourself, attach a letter of interest telling us why you’re interested in positions
with us and why you feel you’re the right person for the job.
Step 6: You must include a letter of recommendation from a teacher
Step 7: Include your current transcript from your current school
Step 8: Send everything to AWE by April 12, 2018.
