Hire the Truck
Our creative and experiential visual art projects are perfect for corporate and
neighborhood picnics, community gatherings, family nights at
neighborhood centers or schools and even visiting classrooms! The Truck
Studio vans are stocked with art supplies, staffed by professional
teaching artists and art interns and ready to bring creative visual art
experiences to children and families in our community.
Truck Studio Artists guide children through short art projects that
focus on creativity, exploring imagination, learning about artists and
art forms of diverse cultures and experiencing and understanding
elements, principles and techniques of visual art. Children can create
and take home their artwork in one session or over several sessions,
depending on the needs of your organization or school.
Fees
The Truck Studio fee for non-profits is $165 per hour for
two hours or more or $200.00 for one hour. The fee for for-profits and individuals is $240 per hour (a portion of
which, $66.75, is tax deductible).
This
fee includes staffing, materials and mileage inside the City of Milwaukee
(there is a $100 flat fee for events outside the city of Milwaukee).
Funding assistance is available to nonprofits
on a limited basis. We require a non-refundable $100.00 reservation
deposit. The deposit is applied to the
total fee. The balance is due 2 weeks
prior to the event. The fee (less the
deposit) will be refunded if cancellation occurs two or more weeks prior to the
scheduled event.
