Experience the vibrancy of Vliet Street and Washington Park on the Near West Side
where neighbors can come together to create, connect and celebrate!

Denizen MKE, Washington Park Media Center, JazzyRae’ Jewels and Accessories, and Artists Working in Education (AWE) are thrilled to present 43rd+Vliet, a free neighborhood event series in our creative small businesses near Milwaukee’s Washington Park on the Near West Side. Starting this Friday, January 31 from 5:00 p.m. to  9:00 p.m. and continuing monthly on select Fridays from February to June 2025, our indoor and outdoor spaces will transform into lively artistic hubs showcasing performances, installations, media-making, refreshments and activities with local creatives. These events celebrate the neighborhood’s cultural diversity while fostering vibrant street life along Vliet Street.

43rd + Vliet Event Series - Winter Game Night:

• Come play, create, and collaborate in our studio space during the Martin Drive Winter Game Night!

  • Play @AWE with 2 games of Bingo for fun prizes at the start of each hour (5pm-6pm-7pm-8pm), as well as many other fun family-friendly games!

  • Create @AWE by making your very own good luck bingo tchotchke to swing the odds in your favor for the festivities.

  • Collaborate @AWE is key for building community. Join us in a visioning session hosted with our partner Rooted and Rising. We will imagine a new vibrant, intergenerational community art project on 40th+Galena, as well review our conversation as your feedback is vital to these projects. Every voice counts - come share yours!
