Community Impact
OUR NEIGHBORHOODS
AWE targets traditionally underserved neighborhoods to ensure that all youth have access to arts enrichment opportunities. By partnering with community organizations that share our values, we strive to engage neighborhoods throughout an entire year, engaging residents in multiple programs that activate public spaces within their neighborhoods.

Exposure to art is a key component of health and wellness, and AWE is dedicated to providing access to art-making opportunities for all youth. These opportunities support creative development while also promoting inquisitiveness, imagination, confidence, self-expression, flexibility, and problem-solving.
Intelligence Impact
OUR RESEARCH
Recent research reflects the importance of our work! Scientists agree that art enrichment experiences are a fundamental part of cognitive growth throughout childhood. We have found that creating art has many benefits, including higher grades, happier kids, and calmer teaching environments.
