About Rising Artists Council
AWE’s Rising Artists Council grew from the Artist-in-Residence program to engage high and middle school-aged youth who are interested in pursuing creative careers in a cooperative cohort that builds their leadership and technical skills as artists. Rising Artists Council members learn from professional artists, visit galleries and public artworks, and strengthen their artistic techniques throughout the year. Members present their individual works in a culminating gallery show and work collaboratively on public artworks.
